Works ok.i have a few chewables, sometimes they're too sweet, but these taste really bad, way too large and chalky so i have choked on it and never want to take two a day so dont!I have an MTHFR mutation, so I need biologically active (methylated) B vitamins. This came across my suggestions and since I hate taking numerous supplements (a B complex, a multivitamin, and others) I thought I’d try this as a one-fills-all-my-needs. It seems like it does pretty well. I’m not feeling super energetic or anything, but neither am I nauseated after taking this even on an empty stomach. I’m also not seeing any signs of wasted B vitamins being eliminated from my system, so it seems the variety of B vitamins is being used well by my body. However, the tablets are *huge* and taste like someone tried to make chalk slightly orange-flavored but miscalculated a bit and got this weird citrus-y, chalky, tangy, wang-y taste instead. It’s not absolutely horrible, but would be a lot better if I could just swallow it.My doctor suggested taking a multivitamin. I first tried NOW's Adam's Multivitamin, but someone told me an ingredient in it could cause issues, so I opted for this instead. I also have the MTHFR gene mutation, so I saw the good variation of methylfolate and pulled the trigger. I took it the first day and felt OK, although the taste is pretty bad and I can tolerate a lot. But if it was worth it for me I would've battled through. The next day I took it and noticed my anxiety was higher than normal. I figured it was maybe a whim. I tried again today and my anxiety was quite high again. The nutritional info doesn't look bad and this product doesn't seem bad, but it isn't for me.I'm happy with the fact that children over 4 and adults can take this vitamin. I plan to start taking this along with my kids when my current multivitamin runs out. I generally give my kids1 tablet instead of the recommended 2 for a few reasons: 1) my kids generally eat a diet that provides them a vast amount of the vital nutrients, and the nutritional values in this multivitamin are VERY COMPLETE; 2) the tablets are large, much larger than their previous multivitamin, and it's taking some time to get used to that; and 3) my kids do complain about the tablet being TOO sour (my son being more reluctant to take it than my daughter). When I became aware of the bad stuff added to manymultivitamins and decided to try the "cleaner" ones, I bought both this and Dr. Mercola's to try. My son preferred the taste of Dr. Mercola's, my daughter Seeking Health Optimal. I tasted them both and they were both sour (a citrus-y sour) with a slightly different taste. But I decided on Seeking Health for the economical (both financial & nutritional) value in the long run. I would recommend this multivitamin - it's worth the slightly extra expense to get away from the dyes and other harmful ingredients in the Flintstones and Centrum type vitamins!Really like these good flavor has all the ingredients I wanted in a vitamin these are greatAfter a winter of stomach virus, I wanted some substantial non-food nutrients for my children. I love that these vitamins are made with quality ingredients and also MTHFR digestible B vitamins, which is a must for us. However, the taste was iffy. I had to bribe my kids to take them for a month. Lots of tempertantrubs and crying. The taste isn't *that* bad, but if you have a picky kid, you'll be in for a fight. They kind of remind me of dog vitamins - a dried-grass kind of smell and taste, with some citrus taste to attempt to overpower. I would purchase them again if we need it, but, in doing so, I know there will be a fight. This was not for me, but maybe because my body needs to heal before it can use these optimal & non synthetic vitamins. MTHFR homozygous people should start on lower doses than Dr.'s often recommend. I have not been able to take it because I need to concentrate on removing toxins & fixing gut health. If you have a problem taking this just know the vitamin may not be at fault. 1/3 of the population does not convert folic acid & it is in flour, cereal & on & on.. When it has taken it's toll on a person it may need to be used after removing inflammatory foods & readying your body. In short find Dr. Lynches protocol & find out what is best for you. This is a good vitamin. It was not for me because I am estrogen dominant due to hypothyroidism & need my vitamin not to have copper.I do recommend it based on what I know for most people. You really should not have folic acid. This is methyl-folate & has the right B-12, methlycobalamin.
