UPDATE 2021: So here’s the math- A dash is the measurement I use. I’m now buying 50 grams. So, about 12 teaspoons in 50 grams. A dash is 1/8 a teaspoon. 8 x 12=96. This should last 3 months. Still 100+ every 3 mos. instead of 6, but I do feel I need it. Hopefully, the world market settles and price goes back down. This company is straight and responded to my disappointment with price increase. Their price went up too. You won’t find a better product in my opinion. This is straight Biotin and works for high dose therapy. I am Roberts wife. I ordered the scale, great price and easy to use.American Weigh Scales AWS-600-BLK Digital Personal Nutrition Scale, Pocket Size, BlackI also ordered the spoons. The middle spoon seems to work best for the .3 measurement.Norpro Mini Stainless Steel Measuring Spoons, Set of 5 (tad, dash, pinch, smidgen and drop)I have MS-Multiple Sclerosis. I want to slow, or stop progression and if myelin has a chance to regenerate, even better. After 3 weeks on High Dose Biotin, I went for my Hormone Replacement Therapy and had blood drawn. This is IMPORTANT!***High Dose Biotin will throw off your lab results!***I’m always very low Testosterone and semi low estrogen when I have blood taken. My labs came back High Levels of both! Had a redraw 5 days after first draw, and it came back even higher! So, I am now going off the Biotin for 10 days and then I’ll have another blood draw done.I’ll update then. Just wanted to let you all know, so you don’t have to go threw several blood draws, only to find out Biotin has thrown your counts off.You can read about it if you google it. It throws off hormone count, thyroid count and others, so take time to research.Other than that, it is awesome and I look forward to starting the therapy again. After 21 days, neuropathy was better in feet and legs. Bonus of hair and nails looking great!Since pandemic- didn’t have normal availability. I paid 109.64 Jan 30, 2020. Now priced 270.96! Unreal! I’ll keep watching, but not buying for now.Love getting the most absorbable supplements which that's why I order powder and mix with yogurt. My wife suffers from multiple sclerosis and her neurologist recommended she take a 30 mg biotin supplement. We quickly learned that biotin is only sold in microgram doses in stores which would require her to take 30 pills of OTC biotin daily. Obviously we didn't want her dealing with taking that many pills with that much filler. That couldn't be good for anyone. We checked at some of the chain pharmacies and they were no help. We checked with a local pharmacy that specialises in compounding. They said they could get bulk biotin but it would cost $2-300!Then we checked Amazon and found BulkSupplements. After all the frustrated efforts trying to find what she needed in a store, finding it here at such a reasonable price was a huge relief. It is a bit of a pain having to measure her doses on a scale rather than just pop a pill, but that is a miniscule issue compared to not finding it at all or paying an exorbitant price. She has just begun taking it so she hasn't noticed any changes, and she may only ever notice a lack of feeling worse after some time taking it. Still we are very glad this is available and will definitely repurchase in the future.I take 300mgs/day that I weigh out on a digital scale. As with the French study concluded in 2015, approximately 5 months after starting to take 300mg daily dose, my vision did improve. I see an ophthalmologist yearly and wear glasses, but due to having PPMS I had problems with my peripheral vision. Thinking I saw something small moving across the floor/ground, when nothing was actually there. When I first realized that aspect of my vision had improved, thinking “it was in my head’, I stopped taking the Biotin for three days and the problem reappeared. It’s been 14mos since I began taking the mega dose of Biotin on a daily basis and it continues to work. Purchasing Pure Biotin outright and weighing the amount I take daily has saved me hundreds of dollars. The least expensive compounding Pharmacist in my area wanted $120.00/30 day supply. As a Prime member, I’m able to purchase 25Gms of Pure Biotin from Amazon for under $65.00, and am able to weigh out almost 3 mos worth of the dose I need. Once again, Amazon has come to my rescue. 5 stars for Amazon!!!WOW- using a high dose of this Biotin my nails are hard as rocks and grow fast. They were splitting, short, and fragile before using the powder. I just put a measured dose on my food and down it goes. Almost no taste, and really, for long strong nails, who cares if it has any flavor. My hair has also stopped falling out-nothing helped that, not Thyroid meds, not other supplements, and I'm under a TON of stress. It takes a few months, but it's well worth it. Be careful if having blood tests, and discontinue before hand because it can skew your results. Many doctors don't know that fact but you can check with the labs for verification. PS: Be careful to order PURE Biotin and not the 1 %....it's easy to mistake them for one another- read the description carefully.
